My family doesn't have much money. Should I even bother applying to Harvard?
Harvard University encourages interested people to apply to study here regardless of their financial
circumstances.
Harvard College's admissions process is need-blind. The Admissions Committee does not consider an
applicant's financial situation when they evaluate the application. Harvard's financial aid policy is
need-based, however. Harvard tries to meet the financial need of every admitted student.
For more information about financial aid at Harvard College, visit the Harvard College Financial Aid
Office Web site.
Harvard University's graduate and professional schools may have similar need-blind admissions and
need-based financial aid policies. Visit
their respective admissions Web sites for
more information.
