Dear Members of the Harvard Community,
Earlier this spring, President Bacow, Provost Garber, and I shared that we would start a new fund, in partnership with the Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU), to provide financial support to employees facing economic hardship due to COVID-19. I am pleased to announce that the Harvard COVID-19 Employee Emergency Relief Fund is now established. Please visit the Harvard Human Resources website for further details and to apply for relief funds. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
I am grateful to both the HUECU and the volunteer award committee comprised of Harvard affiliates for their partnership in establishing and administering this fund, as well as for the generous contributions already made by members of our community. If you are interested in supporting this Fund, please visit the University Giving Page, see “University-Wide Response,” and select “Employee Emergency Relief Fund.”
The current public health crisis has caused strain and disruption to every member of our community, and our hope is that this support can help defray unanticipated expenses and provide a small degree of relief in a very uncertain time. I also encourage you to find more information about additional University programs and resources designed to support employee health and well-being.
Executive Vice President
