The Harvard & the Legacy of Slavery Initiative’s Inaugural 2024 Symposium, Reckoning with History, Shaping Our Future, featured powerful dialogues and performances from University faculty members, staff, and students, as well as journalists, Cambridge and Boston community leaders, and descendant communities.  Participants reflected on slavery’s legacy at Harvard and in the United States and how our past can shape a better future.
