Safely Apart, Virtually Together
Harvard’s goal is to reduce the number of people on campus—including visitors—in order to slow the potential transmission of the virus and protect vulnerable populations from exposure. Therefore, all in-person public and private tours of Harvard University are offered virtually until further notice.
In order to limit the amount of people on campus, the Visitor Center has launched free public virtual tours. These student-led tours include the Historical Tour of Harvard and the Harvard Women’s History Tour. These tours are also available for private groups for a fee, and offer an interactive experience with Harvard undergraduate student tour guides.
After registering for either the Historical Tour of Harvard or the Harvard Women’s History Tour on Eventbrite, you will be sent a secure link to access the tour via Zoom, a video conferencing platform. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, please access Zoom’s website to learn more.
Tours are approximately 45 to 60 minutes long.
The tour is free of charge.
Public tours are free of charge and are presented in a Zoom Webinar format. While the overall content of private tours is the same as their public tour counterpart, private tours offer features and special content that enhance the overall Harvard experience for private tour groups.
Audiences of all ages will enjoy the private Historical Tour of Harvard. Tours are offered to students from K-12, the Harvard community, professional groups and more.
Private tours can be scheduled Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. The private tour schedule is based on our student tour guides’ availability.
Private tours are conducted via Zoom Meetings. Registration must be made in advance.
